Post 213 eliminated from playoffs by South Florence

Post 213 eliminated from playoffs by South Florence
The season came to an end Tuesday for the Post 213 Junior American Legion baseball team.  The team was swept by South Florence in the second round of state playoffs.
"The guys are disappointed, especially in the way we played that second game, but this was a really good summer.  A lot of younger players got some experience that will help them as they progress in their careers," said head coach Phillip Blue.
"We knew beating South twice was a tall order, but we had them on the ropes in that first game.  After the way it ended, I think it affected the way we played in the second game," said Blue.
