The fire that destroyed a home on South Everett Street Sunday night is under investigation by the Bennettsville Fire Department and Bennettsville Police Department, officials said today.

City Council reinstates Legends Sports  Bar's  business license, with conditions
Bennettsville City Council agreed to "conditionally reinstate" the business license for Legends Sports Bar at a special called meeting last week.
Legends is located in the historic district at 112-1/2 South Marlboro Street. The council had voted to suspend its business license in July, after several citizens came forward to complain about loud music and other issues.
