Getting ready for Halloween
Downtown Bennettsville was brimming with holiday spirit on Sunday, October 22, as the Bennettsville Downtown Development Association hosted its second Halloween costume and pumpkin carving contests. A crowd of children and adults alike converged on the former Dew’s Garage parking lot that afternoon, dressed in their scariest, cutest costumes and ready to create masterpieces with their pumpkins. Prizes were awarded for the winners in various age groups (see next week’s Herald-Advocate  for a list and photos of the winners). To see additional photos of the event, visit BDDA’s Facebook page.
