Bennettsville Police  arrested Tramayne Quick Thursday on charges of domestic violence first degree, kidnapping, unlawful conduct towards a child, possession of a handgun with obliterated serial number, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute marijuana within half mile of a playground.
According to Lt. Larry Turner, officers responded to Wallace Circle in Bennettsville around 7 a.m. Thursday in reference to the assault of a female victim.
It was determined during the investigation that the victim had been assaulted inside of the residence and held against her will with her minor child.
The victim was able to escape and call law enforcement once the suspect went to sleep. Officers attempted to make contact with the suspect to get him to come to the door but the suspect gave no response.
Members of the Special Operations Response Team were then called to respond to the scene and were able to talk suspect out of the residence without incident.
A search warrant was conducted at the residence for evidence where investigators located weapons and drugs inside of the residence.
Quick is currently incarcerated at the Marlboro County Detention Center and is awaiting bond.
He is also wanted in Horry County for failure to appear on a gun charge and wanted by the Marlboro County Sheriff's Office.
