The Marlboro Players will bring "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs of the Black Forest" to life next week at the Marlboro Civic Center.
Emmie Beck, who is co-directing the show with Brynn Anderson, said it is a take-off on the original Snow White story.
"It has a little different twist to it," Beck said. "So it is not your Disney's Snow White story."
"Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs of the Black Forest might be considered a show for children," Beck said. "An adult audience will enjoy it just as much if not more. It has a lot of adult humor in it as well. It's definitely a family show."
She added she would recommend it to anyone ages four and up.
Beck noted the rehearsals have gone well.
"The children are very spontaneous and they learn very quickly," she said.
Rehearsals have been on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays since the show was cast in January.
There are about 52 people in the show.
"It was a hard show to cast since we did have such a wonderful response but it was great because we were able to use everybody," Beck said.
Tech dress rehearsals will start Sunday.
"We will have a full long day Sunday, where we put everything together - the lights, the full costumes and makeup,” Beck said.
Dress rehearsals will be on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Anderson said it has been exciting to see a whole show come together after working on it for so long.
